Over the past couple of months, we have mentioned tons of tools, strategies, and frameworks to enhance your digital marketing efforts. We talked about some of the software we use; however, it appears we left out a critical part: the hardware! No worries, We did not forget. The truth is, as technology improves, new tools allow you to do more with less (both software and hardware). The 100 pounds of cameras and gear folks used to carry are no longer required to get the same ROI. So, we have decided to share our daily content creator kit (along with the link to purchase the hardware) and a two-liner assessment. This kit works well for social media content and most website content:
Ahhh! We almost forgot.
Disclaimer: We were not paid nor approached by any of these brands to promote their products or services.
Enough said. It records high-quality video that challenges some of the expensive cameras and is likely part of your daily carry.
NEEWER RGB62 Magnetic RGB Video Light
These can get you out of a quick pinch and work well. They sync, and you can control them from your phone. They have a broad spectrum that includes colors and lasts quite some time.
Anker MagGo Power Bank, Ultra-Slim 10,000mAh Magnetic Battery Pack
Who doesn't like an extra battery? High-quality videos take up a lot of power.
Anker Prime 100W USB C Charger, Anker GaN Wall Charger
The ball guy packs a big punch and can charge all your devices. Think of the Macbook 80w power adapter, except this one is 100w and can fit in half your palm.
hohem iSteady M6 Kit Gimbal Stabilizer for Smartphone
This gimbal provides tracking without having to use an app. It is a bit bulky but comprehensive, stable, reliable, and high quality.
Get this. Enough said. It boosts your audio in all settings. The kit has two of almost everything. We have no complaints.
SanDisk Professional 4TB PRO-G40 SSD
The video takes up a lot of space. Our average reel is up to 15Gb, so having a place where you can store the videos but quickly access them for editing is super useful.
SmallRig x Brandon Li All-in-One Mobile Video Kit (Special Edition)
We get stopped for this one all the time. It is an awesome kit and provides some great flexibility. There are a few cons. The MagSafe does not natively fit the iPhone Pro Max models (so be prepared to rely on the holder - not a big issue + it is universal). The extra terabyte (hidden in the handle) can be challenging to connect to. The shutter control does not zoom in on iPhones but does click to shoot. Other than these, we love this cage.
Peak Design 30L Travel Pack (backpack)
We usually rely on the 511 Rush series backpacks, but this backpack is the exception to the rule.
PGYTECH Tech Accessories Electronics Organizer Bag
This is by far the best tech bag that we have run into. We have tried the Thule Subterra series, the bellroy of equal caliber, and the tomtoc of equal caliber. This tech bag has the most pockets in an organized fashion, expands to 180 degrees for easily accessible pockets, and fits more than any of the other bags of equal sizes.
YETI Rambler 20 oz Stainless Steel Vacuum Insulated Tumbler w/MagSlider Lid
We had to run out for a client... usually, we carry this one with water:
